For co-existence, (bio)diversity and justice in conservation

Dimitris Bomrpoudakis

Dimitris Bomrpoudakis is a interdisciplinary environmental scientist working at the intersection of science and practice in conservation. He is a member of Callisto’s Human Dimensions group, where he conducts quantitative and qualitative social science research to help foster more convivial human-wildlife interactions on the ground. Dimitris has a research background in political ecology, environmental data science, and historical geography. He has an interest in high- and low-tech conservation technologies, and particularly on their effects “in the wild”. In these subjects, he has recently published in the Annals of the AAG, Geoforum, Environment and History, People and Nature, European Urban and Regional Studies and the Journal of Political Ecology. He is also an amateur sound recordist, often listening to the sounds of green and grey infrastructures.
